Instrument maintenance
FSTJ Percussion offers top-notch restoration and maintenance services. The work is done in a fully-equipped 700 sq ft workshop where common-use spare parts and heads are also stored. Instruments are all adjusted and tuned with care and good taste by a professional symphony orchestra musician.
Maintenance services most asked for:
- Change heads and adjust all brands of timpani.
- Rebuild the frame of xylophones, marimbas, vibraphones and tubular bells.
- Reinforce the frame of percussion boards.
- Make a protective cover and install it on a set of tubular bells.
- Install a bass drum on a swivel support.
- Make a pump clip and install it on a bass drum.
